What a special day! The day we celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As Paul said, if Christ was not raised from the dead our faith is futile (1 Cor. 15:17). Praise God that our faith is not in vain and that our powerful Savior is reigning on high!
It was a wonderful Easter Sunday morning gathering with the saints and worshiping God at our Faith Community Church in Oxnard!
All the little ones love Pastor Rick! Not only is He a very gifted preacher of God's word, but he is a joy to spend time with! Thank you Pastor Rick!

When we got home, Eric set up a scavenger Easter egg hunt for Elizabeth. We used "Resurrection Eggs" for our hunt. There were 12 eggs and each egg had an object representing a particular aspect of the Resurrection of Jesus. Eric hid each egg and as Lizzy found them in order (by following the clues), we explained the story of the Resurrection by explaining what each object symbolized. Although Elizabeth had heard this story many times, the egg hunt was a new, fun and exciting way to explain the story in a way that was very memorable.
Thinking, thinking =) Where could that egg be?
Found another one =)
And another =)
At the end of the hunt, the last thing for Elizabeth to find was a special basket with some special gifts from Mommy and Daddy. Actually we always tell her that her gifts are from God, but that God uses Mommy and Daddy as a primary means to bless her life.
The other very fun part of our Easter was the welcoming of Nana into our home. She finally decided to make the move to Ventura. We offered her to stay with us while she makes the transition. Welcome Nana!
